The primary function of the unit is to locate path and position of buried cables and pipes, while it has the added benefit of being able to locate and pinpoint insulation faults of both buried pipes and cables. The 7100PL comes standard with 4 search modes (peak, peak+, guidance and null), a 33kHz sonde frequency, passive location of both radio and power cables and an impressive on screen display amount.

Handily, the unit can display utility cable depth whilst providing you with a current (I) reading for the cable, which helps ensure the safest surveying possible.
